CEO Council Leadership Captures Young Professional’s Interests

CEOC October 014

CEO Council President, Jim Lynch, presents to the 2015 class of the L.E.A.P. Academy.

L.E.A.P. or (Leaders Emerging to Advance Peoria) is an initiative out of the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria. The six week program consists of one session each week held during the lunch hour and gives the participants the chance to engage and learn from local leaders in an intimate setting.

Mr. Lynch spoke to the group about our structure, past projects, how we choose projects and what it’s like working with some of the most successful and powerful people in the region. The participants are an ideal market for CEO Council as they work towards Quality of Life and Retention and Attraction projects. They were very excited to hear about many of our efforts and that sparked great conversations and questions.

Mr. Lynch encouraged the participants to let their voices be heard and to get more involved with the Young Professional group, “YPGP is a powerful group and we need young leaders like you to help Peoria grow to be a fantastic place to work, live and play. Put the pressure on organizations you are involved with regarding concerns you have and find something you are passionate about, whether it be in the work place or when volunteering, and use your skills to help move the needle. ”
