Illinois Central College president, Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey, sees workforce development as a solution to multigenerational poverty in Peoria. The Workforce Sustainability Center will help both first-time students as well as those individuals looking to change career while also building our region’s credentialed workforce to 60% by the year 2025. This center will be a tremendous asset for our region’s economy to attract new investment, support, and growth with a ready and skilled talent pool for years to come.
