On November 4th, 2015 Jim Lynch accepted the Special Recognition Award for the CEO Council from the Association of Fundraising Professionals during their annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon.

CEO Council and our members were nominated by current Board Chair, Don Shafer for their many accomplishments including:

  • The creation and launch of the Downtown Development Corporation of Peoria (DDC).
  • Partner of the Peoria Pathways to Prosperity Initiative, which seeks to ensure that many more local youth complete high school and are college and/or career ready.
  • Partnered with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and community leaders in launching Quest Charter School, the first ever Peoria area charter school by working with District 150 to apply for the charter and working with the community to gather supporters.
  • Partner in the successful Build the Block Referendum Campaign to build the Peoria Riverfront Museum and CAT Visitors Center.
  • Project Manager for the UICOMP’s 24,000 sq. ft. $10 million dollar state of the art Cancer Center that was completed in December of 2011.

Thank you to all of our CEO Council members who are passionate about making a difference in our community.

A special thank you to Dr. Sara Rusch, Henry Vicary & Michael Freilinger who all wrote letters of support on our behalf.
